Larry Orman, Executive Director Larry created GreenInfo Network in 1996, after 19 years as Executive Director of Greenbelt Alliance, the Bay Area urban planning and conservation non-profit. He's a passionate believer in the importance of compelling visual images for advocacy, public education and thinking about how to solve social and environmental issues (he also remembers long hours of magic marker coloring of paper maps while in graduate school at the U.C. Berkeley Dept. of City and Regional Planning - oh, for GIS back then...). As Executive Director, Larry develops projects and partnerships, and loves explaining to people the cool things that the GreenInfo staff can do for them. River rafting and backpacking with his son and wife are highlights outside of work, along with serving on the boards of Bay Nature, The Martis Fund and Sierra Watch, and leading PTA fundraising efforts in Berkeley schools.

Megan Dreger, Associate Director/GIS Manager Megan joined GreenInfo in early 2012 after earning a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. For eleven years prior, she managed library collections for UC San Diego and San Diego State University, focusing on maps, spatial data and governmental information. She's keenly interested in social and environmental analysis and in communicating the results of that thinking to a wide audience. As the photo shows, she's a fan of her dog, Trixie, with whom she loves getting out on the trails of the Bay Area.

Jennifer Strahan, Interactive Solutions Manager Jennifer Strahan joined the GreenInfo Network staff in the fall of 2005, after completing web mapping internships at the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the US Geological Survey. While pursuing her MA in Geography at San Jose State University, Jennifer honed her interactive cartography and programming skills, experimenting with everything from ArcIMS to MapServer to Flash. She loves learning new tools and enjoys the challenge of finding the best solution for each unique project. Jennifer moved to St. Paul, MN in 2008 to escape the cold San Francisco summers and is thrilled to have summer BBQs where parkas are unheard of. She spends her free time exploring Minnesota with her husband and young daughter, building furniture, growing vegetables, and playing soccer.

Amanda Recinos, Senior GIS Specialist Amanda came to GreenInfo Network in 2001 after spending three years at Puget Sound Regional Council working on GIS and database projects. Her interest in GIS was sparked at the University of Washington where she learned to combine the technical and artistic capacities offered by geospatial technology. She develops projects with clients, oversees operational management at GreenInfo and is a Filemaker and Access whiz, but she especially loves to take on complicated client projects that link data, analysis and visualization. Away from GreenInfo, she loves to hike, cross country ski, and watch the progress her worms have made in her composting bin.

Tim Sinnott, Senior GIS Specialist Tim Sinnott started as an intern at GreenInfo Network in the summer of 2006. Prior to living and working in the Bay Area, Tim was a GIS educator with the Community Mapping Program at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. In his current role as GIS manager at GreenInfo, Tim spends much of his time working with clients to develop projects and, when he's lucky, gets to make a map or two! A proud student of former Middlebury College Professor Bob Churchill, Tim endeavors to bring Bob's thoughtfulness and humanity into his own cartography, design and data visualization.

John Kelly, Senior GIS Specialist With all due respect to the physics dept. at Princeton U, the pro cycling peloton of N America and Europe, and the fine Public Works workers at Contra Costa County, John has found his most rewarding work in the GreenInfo community—inspired and amazed by his coworkers' innovation and dedication while inspired and rewarded by the work that GreenInfo's clients put into action. John is a sucker for GIN's GIS amalgamation of scientific analysis, creative coding, aesthetic visualization, and public purpose. He's also a sucker for bike-camping, bike commuting, listening to snark-pop & femme-folk, and "eating" fruit-based frozen frapped lunches. [Ed. note: He's pretty much a sucker in general, so please don't take unnecessary advantage of his good-natured guilelessness.]

Maegan Leslie Torres, Senior GIS Specialist Maegan just keeps coming back! First starting with GreenInfo back in 2001 as an intern after earning a BA in Environmental Geography and GIS from Chico State University, Maegan has returned to the SF office after a 2 year excursion in Brazil and recently the birth of her second son. Cartography and design are her passions in GIS and she loves figuring out creative ways of making GIS technology produce compelling, artful images for clients. She gets the travel bug quite often, loves camping, cooking and most of all, rediscovering the world through the eyes and minds of her two little boys.

Stephanie Ding, GIS Specialist Stephanie joined GreenInfo in 2008, after working as Land Assistant and GIS Specialist for Peninsula Open Space Trust. A GIS Specialist here, she is responsible for cartography, data development and spatial analysis. Stephanie's a Bay Area native, and she loves exploring local open spaces, visiting beaches (even on frequent foggy days), and sampling San Francisco's amazing range of culinary experiences. On a sunny day, she can often be found in a city park with a book, a snack, and good company. One of her best life experiences was living in the Czech Republic where she taught English, which in turn taught her a great appreciation for being patient. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University.

Greg Allensworth, Web GIS Developer Greg has been tinkering with computers since the mid-1980s. He worked at HostGIS from 2001 to 2011, as a jack of all trades: hardware and systems administration, database administration, web GIS, security hardening and hacker-resistant programming. GreenInfo is a HostGIS customer, and Greg often solved problems or provided insights as needed. When a position opened at GreenInfo in 2011, they persuaded him to come aboard.
