California State Parks Prop 84 Grant Awards

Prop 84 Funded Projects
California State Parks awarded $386 million for the creation of new parks and recreation facilities in critically under served communities throughout California.
Client:   California Department of Parks and Recreation

California State Parks awarded $386 million for the creation of new parks and recreation facilities in critically under-served communities throughout California and asked GreenInfo to help depict that important public investment.

After awarding $386 million dollars for park creation and restoration it was important to inform Californian's of the new and improved parks as a result of proposition 84.  GreenInfo assisted in the development of FactFinder, the tool used by all potential grantees to evaluate park need at their site.  Once the 126 awards were finalized, a map was created to show the geographic range covered. It also highlights their locations - in critically under served communities with little access to open space.

Results: The maps produced are featured on the California State Parks website, to inform the public of the parks created and improved with proposition 84 funds.
