Kristina Yamamoto joined GreenInfo in 2024, after managing a geospatial team at a food security startup in New York City and conducting geospatial analyses at the United States Geological Survey in Colorado prior to that. She was also an adjunct professor in atmospheric science in Colorado, and she loves presenting scientific topics to a wide variety of audiences. She adores both vectors and rasters equally. 

Outside of the geospatial world, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and picking up and dropping new hobbies. She has a BS in natural resource management from UC Berkeley and an MS in GIS and a PhD in Geography from the University of Denver.
