Global Shark Conservation

Shark Fin Market in Hong Kong
Client:   Pew Environment Group

Working closely with Pew Environment Group staff, GreenInfo compiled a series of maps showing global shark fishing and gaps in enforcement, revealing the need for increased awareness and regulation.

Provided with spreadsheets detailing shark fishing and sales from the Pew Environment Group, we prepared GIS data and custom maps to portray current global conservation efforts and a need for more fishery management.  Coverage of the Pew report was picked up by The New York Times' Green Blog.

A summary of the report and a link to the full report can be found here.
